List of Paris arrondissements and quarters

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

France's capital Paris is divided into 20 arrondissements (districts) each with four quarters (quarters). The numbering was created in 1795 and last amended in 1859. The counting of the arrondissements begins at the Louvre and continues in a spiral clockwise direction from the inside out. Arrondissements can therefore be adjacent at the seams whose numbers do not seem to match. This often affects the opposite side of the same street (the number of the arrondissement is listed on each street sign).

In the following, the districts are listed in ascending order according to their official ordinal number with the associated quarters.
