Geographical location

The 9th arrondissement is on the right bank of the Seine . It borders the 10th in the east, the 8th in the west, the 18th in the north and the 2nd arrondissement in the south .

The 9th arrondissement consists of the following four districts:

  • Saint-Georges district
  • Quartier de la Chaussée-d'Antin
  • Quartier du Faubourg Montmartre
  • Quartier de Rochechouart

According to the official census of the Parisian neighborhoods, these are Quartiers 33 to 36.

Right next to the 9th arrondissement to the west in the 8th arrondissement is the Saint-Lazare train station and to the east in the 10th arrondissement there are two other train stations, the Gare de l'Est and the Gare du Nord .

Metro lines 7 and 12 run through or along the 9th arrondissement .
