Nicole Deitelhoff
Nicole Deitelhoff (* 1974 ) is a German political scientist and university lecturer . Since 2016 she has been the director of the Leibniz Institute Hessian Foundation for Peace and Conflict Research in Frankfurt am Main.
Life
Nicole Deitelhoff studied politics , law and economics at the Technical University of Darmstadt before completing a master's degree in Political Science at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1997/1998 . In 1998 she obtained a Master of Arts degree . She then worked for Walter Hoffmann, member of the Bundestag, until 2001, where she was responsible for education and research as well as foreign policy.
From 2000 to 2001 Deitelhoff was a scholarship holder of the Hessian state graduate support, in the following four years a scholarship holder of the Hessian Foundation for Peace and Conflict Research (PRIF). The doctorate to Dr. phil. at TU Darmstadt took place in 2004.
Following the doctoral scholarship, Deitelhoff stayed with PRIF until 2009 as a research assistant. During the same period she was a research assistant at the Center for Interdisciplinary Technology Research (ZIT) at the TU Darmstadt.
After a substitute professorship at the Institute for Intercultural and International Studies (InIIS) at the University of Bremen in 2008 and a research professorship in Bremen's Collaborative Research Center 597 “Statehood in Transition”, she was appointed professor for “International Relations and Theories of Global Regulatory Policy” at Johann-Wolfgang in 2009 -Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. In addition, Deitelhoff headed the research group “Global Negotiations - Regional Dynamics” at PRIF.
From 2010 to 2011 she was visiting professor at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and in 2011 she was also a visiting researcher at the Center for European Studies, Harvard University . In 2012 she was a visiting researcher at the University of Hawaii at Manoa .
Since 2016 she has been a managing board member of the Leibniz Institute Hessian Foundation for Peace and Conflict Research (PRIF).
Deitelhoff has been managing editor of the journal for international relations together with Christopher Daase since 2015 . Nicole Deitelhoff has been on the advisory board of Leviathan magazine since 2009 .
Since 2007 Deitelhoff has been a member of the Board of Directors and Principal Investigator of the Cluster of Excellence The Formation of Normative Orders at the University of Frankfurt.
