Bouncing Babies is a classic DOS - computer game ( freeware ), which from 1984 Dave Baskin was developed. This skill game is based on the LCD game Fire (1980) for the first portable Nintendo console Game & Watch .

Game description

The player has to save babies who are jumping off a burning skyscraper (on the left edge of the screen).

It controls together two firefighters with a jumping sheet and will have the babies safe in the right-wing ambulance transported by this bounce off the trampoline (Engl. To bounce ). Three buttons for the three positions left, middle and right are used for control. As the game progresses, the speed of the game gets faster and several babies fall from the skyscraper at the same time.

graphic

The original graphics of the LCD game were black and white. The DOS game ran on CGA graphics (3 colors) with a black background. The Amiga version has a similar color palette. The Acorn version has black figures on a green background.

Further information

The program size in the DOS version is only 22 KB. At least an 8088 processor is required. The sound is output via the PC loudspeaker. Today's computers require additional programs or a modified version, otherwise the game runs too fast.
