Boverket

Boverket is the Swedish authority for Housing , Building and Planning . Its headquarters are in Karlskrona , where it employs around 170 people.

Boverket was founded in 1988. It operates in three areas: spatial planning and urban development, construction and housing, and sustainable development. Since many decision-making processes in these areas are at the municipal level, Boverket primarily has a steering and control function.

Boverket is assigned to the Swedish Ministry of the Environment . It is also responsible for declaring areas as imperial interests .
