The Bowman Peak is a mountain in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . It rises up in the Alexandra Mountains on the south side of the Butler Glacier .

It was discovered in 1929 during the first Antarctic expedition (1928–1930) of the American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd . He named it after the Canadian-US hotelier John McEntee Bowman (1875-1931), who provided the headquarters for the preparation of the research trip .
