The Butler Glacier is a wide glacier in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . It flows from the north side of the Edward VII Peninsula in the vicinity of Clark Peak in a mainly northeastern direction through the Alexandra Mountains to Sulzberger Bay .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Lieutenant F. M. Butler, navigator on the icebreaker USS Glacier as part of the research trips in the area in January 1962.
