Coordinates: 33 ° 50 ′ S , 116 ° 23 ′ E The Shire of Boyup Brook is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 2829 km² and has about 1700 inhabitants (2016).
Boyup Brook is located in the southwest of the state about 220 kilometers south of the capital Perth . The seat of the City Council is in the village of Boyup Brook, where about 525 inhabitants live (2016).

The Boyup Brook Council has nine members. They are elected by the residents of the four wards (three from Boyup Brook, two each from Benjiup, Dinninup and Scotts Brook Ward). The chairman of the council (Shire President) is also recruited from among the councilors.
