Bpost is the Belgian national postal company . The company has more than 27,000 employees. Bpost shares are traded on Euronext Brussels and were included in the BEL20 until 2019 .

history

Today's Bpost emerged in March 2000 from the privatization of the state-owned De Post-La Poste, which was founded in 1830. In 2006, a consortium led by Post Danmark and CVC Capital Partners took over a 49.99 percent stake in De Post-La Poste from the Belgian state. In 2009 Post Danmark withdrew from its stake and CVC Capital Partners has since been the main shareholder alongside the Belgian state. Today the Belgian state holds a 51.04% stake. Bpost employees hold a share of 0.46 percent; the remaining 48.5 percent are in free float . On January 1st 2010 De Post-La Poste changed its name to Bpost. Bpost shares have been traded on Euronext since June 21, 2013. On March 24, 2014, the company was included in the BEL20 .

In the following years, Bpost took over several companies, including the Belgian part of Lagardère Travel Retail and DynaGroup .
