Bráulio Mantovani

Bráulio Mantovani (born July 1963 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian screenwriter .

Life

Mantovani graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo . He then tried his hand at screenwriting and in the early 1990s worked as a simple cameraman and assistant director for Zbigniew Rybczyński .

In 2000 his first screenplay was realized as part of a series, followed in 2002 with City of God, the first feature film. He was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Adapted Screenplay in 2004.

More scripts followed, for which he won several Brazilian film awards.
