The June 17th Bridge between Hamburg-Harburg and Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg is a road bridge with which Hannoversche Straße crosses the Süderelbe parallel to the Europabrücke and the Old Harburg Elbe Bridge , which is now closed to traffic .
The bridge, which opened at the end of 1937 and is 472 meters long, is made of steel . The 17-meter wide bridge has a riveted assembly having a doppelstegigen plate girder and sechsstegigen -beams on. The bridge was originally called "Neue Harburger Elbbrücke" and was given its current name in 1964 after the uprising of June 17, 1953 .
