Brückenau Rhön Alliance

The Brückenau Rhön Alliance is the amalgamation of the eight municipalities of Bad Brückenau , Geroda , Motten , Oberleichtersbach , Riedenberg , Schondra , Wildflecken and Zeitlofs in the north-western part of the Bad Kissingen district and on the southern edge of the Bavarian Rhön Nature Park and the Rhön Biosphere Reserve . The city of Bad Brückenau and the Staatsbad form the center of the alliance; surrounded by mostly rural villages and markets; and is the namesake of the organization.

It was founded in the summer of 2014. Since February 1, 2015 Uwe Schmidt has been working as an alliance manager for the Brückenau Rhön alliance and coordinates the work of the organization.

The aims of the Brückenau Rhön alliance are intermunicipal cooperation, the strengthening of the local centers through their own funding program, the elaboration of cross-community development strategies and specific projects to improve living and working conditions for the residents, to maintain the region's economic competitiveness and to make the region more attractive to tourists to increase.
