Brückenfehn is a district of the Filsum municipality in the Leer district in East Frisia . The scattered settlement is a fake Fehnsiedlung . Contrary to what its name suggests, there is no typical Fehnkanal. The village is a good four kilometers east-northeast of the core town of Filsum, to which it also belongs from an ecclesiastical perspective. The residents of Brückenfehn are part of the Evangelical Lutheran St. Paul parish there.

Settlement of the settlement at the edge of the moor began in 1772. It is officially named for the first time in 1787 as the Vehn at the bridge . The current spelling has been handed down since 1823. The place name refers to the location of the settlement, which was once built on a bridge over the Hollener Ehe.
