Busboomsfehn is a part of the municipality Filsum in the district of Leer in East Frisia . It is located about one and a half kilometers northeast of the core town. The village also belongs to Filsum from an ecclesiastical point of view. The residents of Busboomsfehn are part of the Evangelical Lutheran St. Paul parish there.

The settlement at the edge of the moor was built in the 18th century. It got its name from the first settlers with the family name Busboom . The village was first mentioned in documents as Busbohms-Vehn in 1787 . The current spelling has been used since 1825. In 1848 the place had 98 inhabitants, who were spread over 17 houses.
