Brew (unit)

Brau , also Bräu, was a liquid measure in the Kingdom of Hanover and in Bremen . It was mostly used by breweries as a unit of measure for beer.

When beer was measured

• 1 brewery = 43 barrels = 172 tons = 4472 small rooms = 876.512 Parisian cubic inches = 173.849 liters
• Bremen 1 brewing malt = 45 bushels = 3330 liters
