The Dithmarscher private brewery Karl Hintz is based in Marne, Dithmarschen district on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein . She is best known for the Dithmarscher Pilsener brewed there . In 2009, 180,000 hl of beer were produced.

history

A rural brewery has been on the site since 1775. The brewery itself was founded in 1884 by Christian Hintz and is still family-owned today. The management of the company was handed over to an external manager in the 1990s after the brewery almost became insolvent due to too rapid expansion.

The brewery cultivates an image that is associated with the landscape and tradition of the region - hence the decision in 1983 to reintroduce the swing top. The brewery's beers have been awarded the top grade gold by the German Agricultural Society several times - most recently in 2013 the Dithmarscher Pilsener.

In addition to the beer in a swing-top bottle advertised as Beugelbuddelbeer , the brewery now also fills “Longneck” and Steini bottles.
