The Unertl Brewery is a wheat beer brewery in Mühldorf am Inn .

history

In 1929 Philomena and Alois Unertl founded a brewery . They specialized the brewery in the production of wheat beer from the start . The brewery is now run as a family business in the fifth generation. The family can look back on more than 100 years of brewing experience, as the company founder worked as a brewer for Paulaner in Munich even before the First World War . In 1948 the brewery's family tradition split, a son of the founding couple went to Haag in Upper Bavaria and founded the Unertl wheat beer brewery there . The Unertl Brewery produces 14,000 hectoliters per year.

Brewing process

All types of beer from the brewery are fermented in the bottle. They are neither stabilized, nor pasteurized, nor ultra-briefly heated, nor are they filtered. The brewing water comes from a hundred meters deep artesian well and is swirled according to Viktor Schauberger's method . At night the yeast cultures are exposed to classical music.

Awards

In 2010, two of the brewery's beers received the silver medal at the World Beer Cup in Chicago , and the beers were awarded the European Beer Star several times .

Products

The product range includes the beer types BIO Weisse with spelled , BIO Weisse alcohol-free , Mühldorfer Weisse , Leichte Weisse , Gourmet Weisse , Franz Xaver Weisse , Oberland Weisse and FITAMINN . Only crown cork bottles are used for filling .

Others

The brewery is a member of the Brauring , a cooperation between private breweries from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
