The Brembo SpA is an international Italian automotive supplier headquartered in Curno .

Brembo is one of the world's best-known manufacturers of braking systems for motor vehicles. The company is an original equipment manufacturer for numerous car and motorcycle manufacturers.

Since October 2002, the company has also owned the rim manufacturer Marchesini, which specializes in motorcycle rims and has been one of the most successful manufacturers in motorcycle racing since the 1960s.

Brembo has been listed on the Borsa Italiana since 1995 . The company has (as of 2017) production facilities in 15 countries (Italy, Argentina, Brazil, China, Germany, England, India, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Spain, the Czech Republic and the United States).

Racing

Brembo has been a supplier to Formula 1 since 1975. In the 2008 season, the company equipped the cars of the following teams: Ferrari , BMW Sauber , Honda , Force India , Red Bull , Toro Rosso and Toyota . The Yamaha Racing Team won, among other things, the motorcycle world championship in the MotoGP class with Brembo braking systems. Among other things, the Ducati works team and the HRC (Honda) works team equip their competition machines with Brembo brake systems.

Others

Brembo has a department that looks for counterfeit products and tries to stop the online trade with such (mostly inferior) product replicas. All parts from the “Racing” and “High Performance” series come with sealed number cards that the buyer can use to verify authenticity on the Brembo website.
