The Bremen Biography of the Nineteenth Century (BB19) is a reference work with biographies on personalities of the city of Bremen who worked in the Free Hanseatic City in the 19th century. The work, which was first published in 1912 and can also be viewed as a lexicon , also contains additional information on the general history of Bremen in the 19th century as well as on intellectual and cultural life. The publisher of the first edition in the Bremen publishing and assortment bookstore Gustav Winter was the Historical Society of the Artists' Association under the umbrella of the Historical Society Bremen .

1976 appeared facsimile issue of the in Gothic lettering printed original plant in Bremen Schünemann Verlag under the ISBN 3-7961-1683-3 .
