The Brendelsteig is a difficult climb in the Hinterautal-Vomper chain in the Karwendel ( Tyrol ), which is accessible from the Karwendelhaus ( 1771  m above sea level ) via the Schlauchkargraben . It is one of the ascent routes to the three Ödkar peaks . The Brendelsteig is insured in places .

The trail is also used as part of a crossing of the western Hinterautal-Vomper chain from the Pleisenhütte ( 1757  m above sea level ) to the Karwendelhaus ( Toni-Gaugg-Höhenweg ). This crossing requires very good physical condition, surefootedness, a head for heights as well as safe path and weather conditions.
