Brenna Whitaker (* in Kansas City ) is an American jazz singer.

Life

Brenna Whitaker grew up in Kansas City and took piano lessons at an early age. At the age of 17 she went to New York and took singing lessons from Gladys Knight . After further training at the Pasadena Jazz Institute, she received an engagement at the W Hotel in Los Angeles , where she has performed weekly with her eight-member “Brenna Whitaker Little Big Band” since 2010. In October 2015 her debut album, Brenna Whitaker, was released on Verve Records . In addition, she interpreted the song "It's Not Easy Being Green" from the Muppet Show , which appeared on the 2015 album We Love Disney . In November 2015 she gave four concerts in Germany as part of a European tour.
