Brett Rumford (born July 27, 1977 in Perth ) is an Australian professional golfer on the European Tour and the PGA Tour of Australasia .

Career

He started playing golf at the age of 10 , won the Australian Amateur Championship in 1998 and surprised the following year - still as an amateur - with his victory at one of the most important Australian professional tournaments, the ANZ Players Championship , an event that has meanwhile also become European Tour counts.

Rumford became a professional golfer in 2000 and has played regularly on the European Tour since the 2001 season. He has had five tournament wins there so far, with two consecutive tournaments in 2013.
