Brian Krzanich

Brian Matthew Krzanich (born May 9, 1960 in Santa Clara County , California ) is an American manager . He was Intel's CEO from 2013 to 2018 .

Life

Krzanich studied chemistry at San José State University . In 1982 he got a job at Intel . As the successor to Paul Otellini , he became his Chief Executive Officer in January 2015 .
He was Intel's CEO from May 16, 2013 to June 21, 2018 . At the beginning of 2018 it became known that Intel chips were affected by a far-reaching security vulnerability. At the same time it became known that Krzanich had sold all of his Intel shares except for a mandatory minimum volume in November 2017. The vulnerability was known to Intel by June 2017 at the latest; the intention to sell was duly published in October. In June 2018, Krzanich resigned as CEO and from his position on the Board of Directors because he had a relationship with an employee. An internal company code of conduct prohibits executives from having relationships with subordinates.

In June 2016, Krzanich stopped a fundraising campaign planned at his home in Atherton, California for then-presidential candidate Donald Trump . He is married and has two children.
