Brian Shimer (born April 20, 1962 in Naples (Florida) ) is a former bobsleigh driver .

The American took part in the Olympic Games in 1988, 1992, 1994, 1998 and 2002 and won the bronze medal in the four-man bobsleigh at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City . In his participation in world championships he won bronze in the four-man bobsleigh in 1993 and 1997 . In 1997 he also won a bronze medal in the two-man bobsleigh together with Robert Olesen . In the 1991/92 season he also had the upper hand in the four-man overall World Cup. In the overall World Cup of the same season, as in 1996/97 , he placed third in the overall two-man bobsleigh. This makes him one of the most successful American bobsledders.
