Brian Vandborg
Brian Bach Vandborg (born December 4, 1981 in Herning ) is a former Danish cyclist .
Vandborg won the Danish championship title in the individual time trial on the road in the U23 class in 2002 and 2003 . In 2004 he became a professional with the Danish team CSC . In 2005 he achieved his first international elite success with a stage win at the Tour de Georgia in the United States. The rest of the season he was plagued by an injury. His greatest sporting success came in 2006 in the time trial of the road world championships in Salzburg , when he finished fourth and only missed a podium by 3 seconds. He ended his career at the end of the 2013 season. In the last year of his career he was Danish champion in the elite individual time trial and was able to repeat his success from 2006.
