Team time trial Eindhoven
The Eindhoven Team Time Trial was in Eindhoven by run road race , which for UCI ProTour counted. It was held as a team time trial and took place for the first time on June 19, 2005. After a total of three events, the city officials decided in February 2008 not to hold another team time trial. The predecessor of this race is the Grand Prix de la Liberation , which was held between 1988 and 1991. In 1989 it was part of the Cycling World Cup .
Since the team time trial in Eindhoven was held two weeks before the start of the Tour de France , the teams used it as a preparatory race for the team time trial during the tour.
The race started in the center of Eindhoven. The route initially led to Helmond, where the first intermediate time was taken. Then the drivers drove back to Eindhoven and passed the second intermediate time at Rabobank. The destination in Eindhoven was reached after a total of 47 km via the town of Best in the west (3rd intermediate time).
As with other team time trials carried out according to UCI regulations, the end time was taken after the passage of the fifth driver of each team, whereby the teams usually started with eight drivers.
