Sven Krauss (born January 6, 1983 in Herrenberg ) is a former German cyclist and since the end of his active career sporting director in road cycling .
Career
Sven Krauss's first professional station was the German ProTeam Gerolsteiner , for which he drove from August 1st, 2003. Before starting his professional career, he started for RSV Öschelbronn and Hofbräu Radler .
Krauss took part in the Giro d'Italia for the first time in 2005 and wore the blue jersey of the leader in the Intergiro classification for almost two weeks . Krauss was known as a sprint driver from Robert Förster , who also drove there while Krauss was part of the Gerolsteiner team.
After the team was dissolved in 2008, Krauss initially did not find a new team. After all, he joined the Halanke.de-Öschelbronn team in 2009 and celebrated three wins from 2010. At the end of the 2012 season, Sven Krauss ended his career as a professional cyclist and became Sports Director of the Continental Team Bergstrasse-Jenatec . After the team changed sponsors, his employer has been called Team Basso-Bikes since 2016 . In 2017 he also worked as the sports director for the Bike Aid team on individual tours .
