The Korean Postage Stamp Museum (한국 의 우표 박물관) is a museum in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) devoted to philately . It is located on Changgwang Road in Pyongyang, in the Tonghung-dong district of the Chung-guyŏk district .

history

The museum was opened in March 1946. In June 1956, North Korea joined the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP). The museum was renovated in April 2012. The Korean Postage Stamp Museum was rebuilt in 2019.

Exhibits

To be exhibited u. a. the first postage stamps from Korea, such as Marshmallow Bush or Samson Rock . The visitor can view various awards for stamps exhibited abroad and learn about the history of the postal service in Korea. Exhibits are exchanged with over 150 nations (including the People's Republic of China and Austria ).
