Brigitte Werner (born May 18, 1948 ) in Herne is a German author for children and young people .

Life

Brigitte Werner worked as a primary school teacher from 1970 to 1980. In 1982 she founded the children's theater Pappmobil , which received the promotion award for independent theater in North Rhine-Westphalia in 1990. In the meantime she lived in Gelsenkirchen, works as a freelance author and was awarded the Gelsenkirchen City Prize for Literature in 1992. With her book I, Jonas, called Pille, and the thing with love , she won the Prix ​​Chronos 2013. She lives and works in Herne .
