British preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008

Since 2008 the preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest organized by the BBC has been called Eurovision: Your Decision . The system is also new: There are three preliminary rounds: girl groups, Maria vs. Josef (candidates from casting shows) and soloists.

These were the songs:

• LoveShy : Mr Gorgeous
• The Revelations : It's you
• Rob McVeigh : I owe it all to you
• Simona Armstrong : Changes
• Michelle Gayle : Woo (you make me)
• Andy Abraham : Even if

A jury chaired by Terry Wogan selected The Revelations, Armstrong, Gayle and Abraham by wildcard for the next round. After the telephone voting, only the two singers from the "Soloists" category remained. Abraham won, but was only last in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade . It is only second last place for the UK .
