The British partner is the largest ever built for BP LNG tankers .
description
The dimensions of 295 m long and 46 m wide were chosen so that the LNG tanker can still pass through the new Panama Canal . With a side height of 26.5 m, the tanker was measured with 115366 GT and was entered in the Lloyds Register class. The British partner is provided with a LNG capacity of 173,400 m³ slightly greater than the previous construction classes of BP-LNG-tanker.
The two slow-running dual-fuel two-stroke engines from MAN B&W of the type ME-GI drive two propellers. The liquefied natural gas is transported in membrane tanks from the French company Gaztransport & Technigaz. To protect the crew from pirates, a special citadel-style deckhouse was designed and implemented.
