Britta E. Buhlmann

Britta Erika Buhlmann (born May 8, 1956 ) is an art historian . She has been director of the Museum Pfalzgalerie Kaiserslautern since 1994 .

Life

After finishing school, Buhlmann studied art history , classical archeology and evangelical theology, first from 1975 at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , then from 1976–1977 at the University of Zurich and from 1977 at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . In 1983 she completed her studies with a doctorate .

After Buhlmann had already worked for the Art History Institute of the University of Bonn and the Rheinisches Landesmuseum Bonn during his studies , he then worked for the Hessian State Museum Darmstadt and the Krefeld art museums . In 1988 Buhlmann took over the management of the municipal gallery in Würzburg as director . She has headed the Museum Pfalzgalerie Kaiserslautern since 1994. Buhlmann was a lecturer at the universities in Würzburg, Saarbrücken, and Heidelberg. She has curated various exhibitions and contributed to numerous publications.
