Britta Habekost

Britta Habekost (* 1982 as Britta Hasler in Heilbronn ) is a German author who is also known under the pseudonym Nora Schwarz and, by her own account, a former professional dominatrix .

Life

Britta Habekost grew up in Ludwigsburg and studied German and art history in Stuttgart. She financed her studies as a professional dominatrix. She processed this experience, which lasted more than four years, under the pseudonym Nora Schwarz in her first book Lessons in Lack . In her first detective novel Death Drive , the investigating commissioner is portrayed as a woman with a past as a dominatrix; in this respect she bears autobiographical traits of the author. Under the pseudonym Nora Schwarz, she also wrote texts on the reception of sadomasochism in the media.

Under her maiden name Britta Hasler , she turned to the genre of the historical crime novel. In her book, she describes a criminal case in Vienna about the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and here, too, the wife of a Viennese court counselor is described as one of the main characters, who has a sexually dominant orientation and is referred to by the author as her alter ego .

Britta Habekost moved to Mannheim in 2007 and currently lives in Bad Dürkheim. She also met Christian Habekost in 2007 and has been married to him since 2012. Together with her husband, Britta Habekost has currently devoted herself to the homeland thriller, the references to her past life contained in the earlier works recede here in favor of dealing with her Palatinate homeland.
