The Britten Inlet is a bay in the south of the West Antarctic Alexander Island . It is located on the southwest side of the Monteverdi Peninsula and is occupied by the Britten Ice Shelf .
The position of the bay was determined from Landsat images from January 1973. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on December 8, 1977 in connection with the ice shelf of the same name after the British composer Benjamin Britten (1913-1976).
