Broby Mølsøvdys

The Broby Mølsøvdys ( also called Molsdysse in Danish ) is a round dysse in Vester Broby near Sorø on the island of Zealand in Denmark . The complex was built between 3500 and 2800 BC. BC as a megalithic system of the funnel beaker culture (TBK).

The East-West oriented Dolmen lies on an approximately 1.2 m high hill with an oval rim of about 10.0 x 12.0 m are tilted in the number of curbs, and the approximately trapezoidal chamber with four support blocks and the in situ located long capstone with bowls . The access area is missing.

In Broby Vesterskov, west of the dolmen, are the eight dolmens in Broby Vesterskov .

  1. Runddysse is the common denomination in Denmark for dolmens that are located in a round hill . In contrast, dolmens lying in a rectangular barren bed are called Langdysser or Langdolmen.
