After the introduction of the Scottish Premier League in 1998, the stadium no longer met the requirements for play in the first division. As a result, FC Falkirk was denied promotion to the Premier League, despite winning the second division championship at the end of the 2002/03 season . Thereupon the construction of the seated stadium Falkirk Stadium was initiated, the FC Falkirk meanwhile sold its previous stadium and the area around the Brockville Park to Wm Morrison Supermarkets . At the end of 2003, the company began with the demolition, in the transition period until the completion of the new stadium, the club competed in the Ochilview Park of the suburban club FC Stenhousemuir .
