tourism

In the area of the Brodnickie Lake District there are over a hundred lakes with an area of over 1 hectare. Here, channel lakes dominate , many of which are connected by watercourses. Wielkie Partęczyny is the largest reservoir with an area of 324 hectares. The region is relatively poorly developed for tourism.

The lake district is unfavorable for sailors due to the relatively small area of the lakes and the surrounding hills as well as the shoreline covered with high forests (no wind). The use of internal combustion engines is prohibited on many lakes. The lakes are connected by the Skarlanka (dammed river) and Drwęca rivers, which makes the region attractive for kayaks .

The Brodnicki Landscape Protection Park with its headquarters in Grzmięca is located on the Brodnickie Lake District. There are numerous hiking, cycling, water and horse riding trails in the park.

There are also monuments of material culture in the landscape protection park. Among them are the remains of early medieval castle walls (area around Strażym Lake), sacred buildings, buildings of traditional rural architecture from the 18th and 19th centuries, and the palace and court complexes of Jabłonowo Pomorskie .
