Bronze - Zetsuai since 1989 is a manga series by the Japanese illustrator Minami Ozaki , which appeared in Japan from 1992. It can be assigned to the Shōnen-Ai genre, i.e. it deals with homosexual love between men. Bronze works with the same characters, Koji Nanjo and Takuto Izumi, as the manga Zetsuai -1989- and continues this. The series ended in 2006, and since 2011 it has been continued as bronze: Zetsuai Gaidan Kaendan-Shō -Tenshi Kōtan . The work was adapted in several animes and a light novel .
publication
The manga was published in Japan from 1992 to 2006 in individual chapters in the manga magazine Margaret . The Shueisha publishing house also published these individual chapters in 14 edited volumes. All volumes were published in German by Carlsen Verlag from June 2001 to December 2006 .
Since January 2011 the continuation Bronze: Zetsuai Gaidan Kaendan-Shō -Tenshi Kōtan- has been published in the magazine Chorus . Carlsen published a volume in German in October 2012.
Anime
A first adaptation of the manga in the form of a one-part original video animation (OVA) by Studio Madhouse called Bronze Kōji Nanjō Cathexis was created in 1994. This consists of five music clips, which are sung by Kōji Nanjō's voice actor Hayami Shō .
A second 45-minute OVA followed in 1996, called Bronze: Zetsuai Since 1989 by Production IG , directed by Itsuro Kawasaki . Kazuchika Kise was responsible for character design and animation. The music was composed by Kō Ōtani and the final credits were the song Bronze Saishūshō , sung by Takehide.

Light novel
Shueisha has published several light novels on the manga written by Akiyama Rin. Minami Ozaki contributed the illustrations. From June 1997 to August 1998 a total of four books were published.
