The Bonn Bread Factory is a cultural center in the Beuel-Mitte district of Bonn . In 1986, the former Germania-Brot bread factory was renovated and converted for cultural use and looks back on 30 years of socio-cultural history. Inside there is a theater, a cinema, a restaurant, a free theater for young audiences, three dance rooms, a studio, a studio and a rehearsal room. Art exhibitions are held regularly in the foyer.

The main operator is the team of the Traumpalast eV, which acts as the umbrella organization for the entire house and is in charge of the creative workshop for children and young people . The theater hall is operated by Brotfabrik Theater gGmbH and, in addition to its core business, also offers concerts and readings. The cinema is run by the Bonner Kinemathek eV and the Förderverein für Filmkultur eV and sees itself as an art house and art house cinema . The gastronomy is currently run under the name KulturKneipeBrotfabrik and organizes smaller concerts on its own small stage. Furthermore, the training center InterKultur is located here as a training partner, which offers courses on topics such as dance, music, theater and professional training in the dance rooms. Other tenants are the Theater Marabu eV, which develops and performs theater art for children and young people. The former tenants include u. a. the film distributor Rapid Eye Movies .

The artistic focus, in addition to the program of the multi-award winning cinemas , on dance theater , puppet theater , youth theater, world music and the promotion of local artistic groups and student theater groups such as the Bonn University Shakespeare Company . The InterKultur educational center in the bread factory offers courses, seminars and workshops in all artistic fields.

The bread factory hosts the children and youth theater festival Spielarten , the Scandinavian Film Days Bonn and is a station of the dance festival Tanzstrasse .

The Bonner Kinemathek also organizes screenings in the Rheinisches Landesmuseum Bonn as well as the International Silent Film Festival outside of the bread factory . In 2012 she received 10,000 euros as a program bonus from the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW as well as 5,000 euros for her youth and children's program. The founding director of the Kinemathek was Stefan Drößler from 1986 to 1998 .

The Marabu Theater can shine with many national and international awards and has been an integral part of the young theater scene since almost 1993.
