Bruce Eckel

Bruce Eckel (born July 8, 1957 ) is an American computer scientist , consultant and author.

Life

Eckel has written over 150 articles and six books. He holds a BS in Applied Physics from the University of California and a Masters in Computer Engineering from California Polytechnic State University . He was a founding member of the ANSI / ISO C ++ committee. Award-winning, critics rate his books Thinking in Java and Thinking in C ++ about Java and C ++ as standard works in the field.

He has written columns for Web Techniques magazine, Unix review , Micro Cornucopia, and C ++ Report magazines . Additional articles have been published in the Windows Tech Journal , The C ++ Journal, and PC Techniques .
