Bruce Hopkins
Raymond Bruce Hopkins (born November 25, 1955 in Invercargill , New Zealand ) is a New Zealand actor .
Life
Hopkins was born to Colleen Marguerite and Bill Hopkins, a shrimp fisherman. He grew up in the Bay of Islands and helped his father catch crabs. He trained to be a sports teacher and then worked as a professional dancer in Australia and New Zealand for nine years . After that he devoted himself to the performing arts .
Hopkins became internationally known for his role as Gamling in The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King . In addition to acting, he also works as a voice actor and radio host.
