Bruno Behr

Bruno Behr (born October 13, 1891 in Bartenstein , East Prussia , † after 1949) was a German entrepreneur . He was factory director at Haus Neuerburg , which was one of the leading companies in the cigarette industry based in Cologne .

Life

He was the son of the judicial councilor Behr from Bartenstein. After attending the humanistic grammar school, he embarked on an officer career from 1909, took part in the First World War and was a member of the German military mission in Turkey . In 1919 he said goodbye to the military and completed a one-year apprenticeship in Hamburg . In 1922 he took over an export business.

In 1925 Bruno Behr joined the Haus Neuerburg cigar factory, where he was promoted to factory director. He also became a board member of several associations and supervisory boards.

He was based in Cologne-Marienburg, Goltsteinstraße 193, and had a villa built at Lindenallee 84. He later became known for his art collection.
