Bruno Bernasconi (born April 24, 1942 ; † May 1999 in Mendrisio ) was a Swiss football player who was mostly used on the left wing .

Club career

He played for both Grasshopper Club Zurich and FC Lugano . With the latter club he was in the Swiss Cup final in 1971, but that against Servette FC Genève ended with a 2-0 defeat. In total, Bernasconi played 182 games in National League A and scored 35 goals.

National team

Bernasconi was a member of the Swiss national football team , for which the winger made three international matches in 1966.

Bernasconi died in Mendrisio in May 1999 after a long illness. He was 57 years old.
