Bruno Fontana
Bruno Fontana (* 1936 in Bizerta , Tunisia ) is an Italian author, screenwriter and film director .
Life
Fontana, the son of parents who emigrated to Tunisia, studied in France and the USA . Living in Rome since 1968, he made a name for himself as a journalist and essayist . His best known works include L'Italia dei sequestri , Italia squillo and Terra senza tempo . Fontana has headed the literary agency Il Segnalibro di Roma, which he founded, since 1989 .
In the 1970s he also began as an occasional screenwriter and in 1981 directed a rarely shown mercenary film based on his own novel, Le belva dalla calde pella .
In 1992 Fontana received the “Premio alla Cultura”.
