Bruno Herrmann (politician)

Bruno Herrmann (born February 20, 1888 in Allenstein , East Prussia , † January 19, 1957 in Peine ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

At the age of three, Herrmann and his family moved to Peine in the Hildesheim district in 1891 . Between 1894 and 1902 he attended a Catholic elementary school. Between 1902 and 1908 he worked as a factory worker in Peine, Hanover, Cologne and Mühlheim. He then did military service in Berlin between 1908 and 1910 . In 1910 he began working at the Ilseder Hütte in the Peiner Walzwerk . Herrmann took part in the First World War between 1914 and 1916 . He finished his military service as a war disabled in 1916 when he became blind in his right eye due to an injury. After his discharge from military service, he began working again in the Peiner Walzwerk. After the end of the First World War he was appointed chairman of the works council.

Public offices

Herrmann became a member of the Hanoverian Landtag between 23 August 1946 and 29 October 1946.
