Bruno Jacobfeuerborn (* 1960 in Verl ) is a German electrical engineer .

Life

Bruno Jacobfeuerborn studied electrical engineering at the University of Paderborn . He graduated with a Master of Science degree with a thesis in the field of telecommunications. Jacobfeuerborn has been working for Deutsche Telekom since 1989 and was initially responsible as regional manager for the development of the mobile network in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. From 2002 to 2007 he was managing director for technology, IT and purchasing at T-Mobile Netherlands in The Hague , after which he worked in the same position at Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (PTC) in Warsaw . In 2005 Jacobfeuerborn received his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Warsaw . with a dissertation on the methodology of information systems for boosting competence and management in hitech organizations . Since July 2009 Bruno Jacobfeuerborn has been responsible for technology in the German business at T-Home and T-Mobile. From April 2010 to the end of 2016 he was Managing Director Technology at Telekom Deutschland and from February 2012 to the end of 2017 he took on the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the Group's headquarters. Since January 2017 he has been chairman of the Telekom subsidiary Deutsche Funkturm . In addition, since January 2018 he has been CEO of the charging station operator Comfortcharge GmbH and chairman of the supervisory board of the Cologne Internet of Things mobile radio provider 1NCE GmbH.

In 2015 and 2016, Bruno Jacobfeuerborn was President of the Association of Electrical, Electronics and Information Technology (VDE), then Vice President of this association. Until 2016 he was also Chairman of the Next Generation Mobile Network (NGMN) Alliance.
