IC 1685 is a spiral galaxy from the Hubble type S in the constellation fish on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 206 million light years from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 494 , NGC 504 , IC 1687 , IC 1688 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 1, 1899 .
