IC 1680 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 205 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 40,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 483 , IC 1677 , IC 1679 , IC 1682 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on November 29, 1899 .
