1954 European baseball championship
The Baseball Championship in 1954 was the first European championship in baseball . It was on 26 and 27 June at the Belgian Antwerp discharged. A total of four of the five members of the newly formed Confederation of European Baseball took part in the tournament. The winner was the Italian national team.
Participating teams
The Italian, Belgian, Spanish and German national baseball teams took part in the tournament. The fifth member of the newly formed Confederation of European Baseball , France, was unable to set up its own team in time.
Game results
The 1954 European Baseball Championship was held in just two days. All four participating teams each played a game against two of the three other participants. Thus, only four games were played:

Trivia
Due to the low level of professionalism in European baseball, all teams made a number of errors in the first EM baseball . The Spanish national team was able to achieve second place in the tournament, although they recorded 8 errors in the game against Italy. The tournament average was 10 errors per game.
