IC 1692 is an elliptical dwarf galaxy from the Hubble type E in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 253 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 30,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky there are u. a. the galaxies NGC 515 , NGC 517 , IC 1690 , IC 1691 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on November 30, 1899 .
